Hope Wilder tells riveting personal narratives, does stand-up comedy, and teaches the craft of true storytelling to adults in Durham, NC. She teaches storytelling classes and hosts storytelling open mics in collaboration with Story Connection. Coming from a strong educational background, she has over 17 years of teaching experience. As a storyteller, she has been featured on a podcast, won a Monti story slam, and participated in the 2025 Monti Grand Slam. She will be presenting at the 2026 Women's Storytelling Festival. Upcoming Storytelling Classes

All classes will focus on performing 5-7 minute true personal stories, like the Moth or the Monti. Students will practice giving and receiving feedback and the class will culminate in an optional performance in front of a friendly audience.
